In a seaside village of Japan during the 1920s, married professor Aochi meets up with old friend Nakasono, who's now a drifter accused of murder. Aochi manages to fight off the suspicion surrounding his buddy, but complications arise when they meet bereaved geisha Koine . Nakasono is immediately smitten. Aochi is attracted, but wants to stay faithful to his wife. Yet, over time, the mind games between all three escalate in a violently sexual way.
