Detectives Tom Chaney and Rod Lambeau are trying to get to the bottom of a rather challenging case. Two sex offenders have turned up dead, and the detectives suspect attorney Katy Wesson, a prosecutor who was unsuccessful in her attempt to throw the men in prison. For partners, Tom and Rod don't get along very well, and a lonesome Tom finds himself falling in love with the beautiful, independent Katy despite her murderous secrets.
