Living in the remote small town of Purmamarca, Argentina, Estela, a pensive adolescent, is bored and lonely -- that is, until a local housing development brings an architect from Buenos Aires named Carlos to town. Estela ventures to converse with the amicable stranger, and before long the two are building a vibrant friendship. This newly formed bond is threatened when Carlos' ex-wife, Ana, appears, looking to reconnect with her old love.
