Peter and Katerina are drifting apart in their marriage. Peter goes to Brussels on a business trip and hires a prostitute. After arriving home, he pursues a fling with a former classmate. Meanwhile, Katerina has a fling with a poet, whom she happens to be designing a book for. By the end, one of them will pay the price for their actions.
