Angered by their husbands' non-appearance at a New Year's Eve party, three wives -- Beatrice, Bille and Bianca are equally devastated by a call from the local police, informing them that their husbands have robbed a bank and fled. A tip eventually sends the three women -- all with clashing cultural, social and financial values, not to mention incompatible personalities -- on a road trip through Argentina in search of their errant spouses.
