The Things of Life

Pierre has a loving and devoted wife and the two have a bright and inventive son. Nevertheless, Pierre keeps a mistress, Hélène, and the two have a passionate-but-volatile relationship. After he's thrown from his sports car in a high-speed crash, Pierre is rushed to the hospital and, in between falling in and out of consciousness, considers his tangled relationships and the effect they have on him and his family.
