In this musical comedy, World War II is raging and Fred Atwell, a heroic pilot, is scheduled to embark on a nationwide publicity tour. Embarrassed by the praise he is receiving for serving his country, Fred chooses instead to travel to New York City, where he meets and begins to fall in love with Joan Manyon, a lovely photographer. However, because Fred is hiding his actual identity, Joan believes he is a coward for not serving in the military during wartime.
