Tavern worker Tina enters and wins an ice-skating contest so that she can kiss Dennis, a visiting traveler. Unfortunately, circumstances prevent their kissing, and Dennis, who is a bit of a ladies' man, leaves the country shortly after. When Dennis returns later, he sets his sights on Gretchen, who is caught up in a love triangle with two other men. He goes to her home -- but it is Tina, who is helping out Gretchen, that he finds and falls for.
