Tasked with transmitting reports to Allied soldiers elsewhere in Europe, spies Capt. Paul MacDougall and Sgt. Joseph Contini go to Italy during World War II. The men send their reports with carrier pigeons, and this efficient system allows them time to woo sisters Antonella and Rosalba Massimo . But when the girls' father cooks most of the birds for dinner, the Americans' airborne delivery system is jeopardized.
