Dance promoter Joe gets a rude awakening when a thug named Bitz demands payoff money. The bigger surprise comes when he discovers how young Bitz is. Generous to a fault, Joe takes the boy under his wing, giving him a job as his assistant and letting him stay in his apartment. This doesn't sit well with Joe's dance partner and girlfriend, Jessie . Nevertheless, Bitz proves his worth when a ruthless racketeer comes gunning for Joe's business.
