Slick Broadway operator Tony Ferris battles his strong-willed star, Fay Lawrence, who wants to work for his biggest rival, Forrest Stanton . When Hubert Bainbridge, the acting head of an organization policing morality on Broadway, drops by to get a singing audition for his niece Janey Adair, Ferris hatches a plan to save his struggling show by having it declared indecent, but his scheme ends up working too well.
