Jake, who nearly lost his mind after battling a vicious Japanese curse, is living in a mental hospital. Dr. Sullivan is assigned to determine if his wild stories are true. A trip to Jake's apartment convinces her that they are, and Sullivan soon discovers that the vengeful spirits Toshio and Kayako have latched onto a new family. Only the mysterious Naoko knows how to stop them once and for all.
