Wilson is a young father who joins Columbia's guerrilla army out of frustration with the country's political situation, abandoning his wife, Paulina, and their child in the process. Meanwhile, Wilson's brother, Toño, becomes a member of the regular armed forces. When tragedy strikes, Toño assumes responsibility for his brother's family -- but Paulina decides to flee her home for what she hopes will be improved circumstances in the capital.
