In 2017, global warming has ravaged the planet. When a hurricane destroys his small Louisiana town, fisherman Drew Morgan and his family head for rural New York, which has not yet been seriously affected by the changing climate. The family experiences many difficulties during their journey, as Drew's father, Frank, has a stroke, and his daughter, Linnie and son, Paul are both tempted to join militant organizations.
