Three young men endure an impoverished existence in Sydney, Australia. The Vietnamese Van is a homeless thief desperate to survive. When he encounters a free-spirited young woman, his life changes. Des is homeless as well but faces different issues: a pregnant girlfriend and trouble with a neighborhood gangster. Then there's Tommy, a junkie trying to kick his heroin habit after his girlfriend tragically overdoses.
