Inspector Ciccio Ingravallo is assigned to investigate a robbery, but soon circumstances lead to a much bigger case. The lovely Liliana Banducci, who lives near the scene of the crime, turns up dead, leading Ingravallo to question her husband, Remo, and their servant, Assuntina, among others. The astute Italian inspector must discover both the motive behind the killing and the culprit.
