Dan Love is an extremely troubled boy who makes life a living hell for his mother, Candice, and younger siblings. When his disruptive behavior proves too much for his mother, she sends Dan to a psychiatric clinic, which only exacerbates the problem. Living with a group of other mentally ill adolescents, Dan threatens one of them and is placed in isolation. This only enrages him further, leading his mother to bring him back home -- with fateful results.
