In 1944, Jewish industrialist Joseph Krauzenberg and his wife, Rachel, prepare to flee Germany, offering money in return for a safe exit from the country. When Heinrich Himmler and Adolf Eichmann arrive to conduct the final financial agreements, their suspicions that the Krauzenbergs' servants, Hans and Ingrid, are working against the Nazi regime endanger the wealthy couple's escape.
