Focusing largely on the arts-loving politician Cosimo de Medici, the docudrama depicts the vibrant culture of Florence, which benefited from his adoration of painting and architecture. Also featured is Leon Battista Alberti, who was a renowned architect, as well as a writer and philosopher, among other occupations, and served as the prototypical Renaissance man.
