This series of vignettes offers ruminations on time, fate and other human mysteries. Each of the film's seven directors conjures a scenario that speaks to some facet of universal experience. In one story, directed by Jim Jarmusch, an actress whittles away time in her trailer during a break in filming. In another, director Werner Herzog investigates an obscure South American tribe. The film spans multiple continents and is told in several languages.
