Jude is sleepwalking through his life as a literature professor. Meanwhile, most of his students are sleeping through his Russian literature courses. But one of Jude's undergrads, Sofie, is markedly different. Spunky and outspoken, Sofie catches Jude's eye, and soon the two start a steamy romance. While Sofie provides a welcome change for Jude, their May-December romance may be little more than a meaningless tryst for her.
