Lola has a case of writer's block, and hopes to get out of her creative rut by taking a journalistic assignment. Her subject is Rafael Sanchez Mazas -- a Fascist writer thought to have been killed in the Spanish Civil War, but who was, in fact, safeguarded by a group known as the Friends of the Forest. Lola tracks down former soldier Miralles, who may be able to lead her to Joaquim Figueras (as himself), one of the group's last living members.
