Smooth as Silk

Attorney Mark Fenton clears young playboy Don Elliot of murder. As Don's uncle, Stephen, is a famous theatrical producer, Fenton hopes to impress his aspiring-actress girlfriend, Paula, by using his connection with Don to secure her a part in Stephen's latest play. When Stephen refuses, Paula takes matters into her own hands, romantically using Don and later Stephen to deceive Elliot and win the role, leading to betrayal and murder.
