While owner George Bater, cook Slob and waitress Kotty go about their workday, their diner near the highway becomes a haven for international espionage during the Cold War. One of the diner's regular customers is professor Sam Bastion, who works at a local laboratory as a nuclear physicist. Although Kotty and Bastion are dating one another, she has no idea what he has gotten himself involved in -- but she is about to find out.
