Tired of his hardscrabble life working as an electrician in Tel Aviv, David decides to pursue his lifelong dream of making it as a magician. His girlfriend, Batya, is tired of his irresponsibility and moves back to their hometown. David, however, focuses on his aspirations and eventually does make a mark on the magic world. However, just as he achieves his ambitions, he begins to rethink his priorities and decides to try to win back Batya.
