Pendulum

Capt. Frank Matthews made his career catching rapist and murderer Paul Sanderson . But his victory lap is cut short when Sanderson's death sentence is overturned by the Supreme Court because of police misconduct. Matthews' reputation disintegrates entirely when his wife, Adele, and her lover are found murdered in bed. Now the prime suspect, Matthews resorts to hiring Sanderson's lawyer in an effort to escape the hangman's rope.
