Parnell

In 1880, Irish politician Charles Stewart Parnell returns home from a successful trip to America. Although jailed briefly for sedition, Parnell is cleared and stands in the House of Commons. He then supports the aspirations of Capt. William O'Shea, who although estranged from his wealthy wife, Katherine, asks her to assist him in befriending Parnell. When the militant-minded opposition tries to discredit Parnell, Katie stands by the politician.
