Canadian expatriate housewife Barbara Jackson and her husband, Bob, are shocked out of their 1960s suburban malaise when British intelligence agent Stewart shows up at their door and wants to use their house for a stakeout. Stewart reveals that their neighbor Helen Schaefer and her husband, Peter, are undercover KGB spies, and Barbara must choose between friendship and patriotism. The film is based on real events.
