Leftist revolutionary Bruno La Roux breaks free from prison after a 15-year stint and runs to Grenoble, France. He plans to seek out gangster Jacquillat, who he believes betrayed him, and reconnect with his former lover and revolutionary partner, Jeanne -- but all does not go as planned. With the help of Agnes, a woman he saves from a drug dealer, Bruno tries to evade the police while settling old scores.
