After his wife mysteriously dies and an autopsy is done, Gregory Black discovers that she was poisoned. Inspector Martin is in charge of finding the murderer. Gregory is immediately considered a prime suspect, but so are his secretary and mistress, Elizabeth Grahame, and his maid, Ellen . Inspector Martin has his work cut out for him as each suspect tries to appear less guilty than the others.
