Upon returning from a tiring journey, rebellious Shaolin monk Hung Fey Kwun finds his beloved temple ransacked and its devout residents slaughtered by loyalist goons. Kwun locates his young son -- pint-sized martial artist Hung Man-Ting -- and vows to punish those responsible for the devastation. Kwun recruits high-flying criminal Red Bean, and seeks revenge on the traitorous Ma Ling-Yee and the tyrannical ruling family.
