Engaged couple Frankie Forster and Stanley Benson bring their song-and-dance show to Broadway. Ticket sales, however, are low. In order to keep the show afloat, Frankie needs to get to Washington, D.C., and claim her inheritance. But, when her plane is full, Frankie poses as the wife of a war hero named Johnny Pearson, a scheme resulting in unforeseen consequences for both her personal and her professional life.
