A precocious French schoolboy, Cesar Petit yearns for excitement beyond his comfortable Parisian life. While on a holiday, Cesar and his dream girl, Sarah, set out to help their friend Morgan Boulanger search for his father in London. Along the way, Cesar, Sarah and Morgan are aided by Gloria, an eccentric aging punk rocker. Trouble arises when Cesar and Sarah try to keep their journey abroad a secret from their parents.
