Marketing executive Martin Flam is traumatized after his faulty costume design results in a man's death. When his attempt at suicide fails, he seeks the help of psychiatrist Dr. Eric Orloff . But Orloff's highly unorthodox techniques lead to a series of misadventures with a parade of unstable characters, including Army veteran Keith, Orloff's girlfriend, Kashia, a jealous ex-football player and the director of a local dinner theater.
