Jackson, a gay Los Angeles poet who engages in a promiscuous lifestyle, has a new gig writing lyrics for rocker Sonny Spike . While at his friend's record store, Jackson meets the conservative Derek, who becomes instantly attracted to him. However, Jackson soon becomes obsessed with Billy, a sadomasochist who's romantically linked to Sonny. He also finds himself attracted to his out-of-towner cousin, Jed .
