One day, immigrant Luka spies the pretty Jo stealing from a store and ends up pursuing her, even though she already has a boyfriend. However, Jo, her boyfriend, Ted, and her brother, Johnny, all dabble in crime, making them dangerous people to cross. When Jo and Luka are in a compromising position, Johnny walks in on them. This leads to a scuffle during which Johnny is killed by Jo, although it is Luka who gets implicated.
