Eddie Renomeron, a street vendor; his wife, Pen, a part-time cleaning woman; and their children live in a makeshift dwelling extremely close to a bed of railroad tracks in the Philippines. But, when a more wealthy neighbor wants the Renomeron family's land in order to expand his own home, they are told they have to move. The family, however, is resilient in the face of their circumstances and poverty, often responding to their hardships with jokes and singing.
