Tania arrives in her home town from Moscow, where she supposedly had a successful career as a fashion model. She seeks out Mishka, a miner who has carried a torch for her since childhood, and declares her desire to marry him. Naturally, Mishka accepts, and begins scrounging for the funds to throw a memorable wedding, despite his parents' reservations. On the appointed day, the townspeople gather, the vodka flows and many secrets are revealed.
