Brazilian filmmaker Maria Ramos returns to her native country for an examination of Rio de Janeiro's judicial system. Using the case of accused car thief Carlos Eduardo, she exposes a system comprising overcrowded courts, overworked lawyers and judges, and little hope for the accused.
