Crime novelist Ben Castelano gets a taste of the real thing when he runs into old chum Brice Cantor . Both men are writers, but are worlds apart in terms of financial success. Ben is struggling to find a publisher for his most recent novel, while Brice's books are best sellers. But beneath the well-heeled exterior, Brice has problems of his own. This leads to an offer: He'll publish Ben's book under his own name and split the money -- if Ben kills his wife.
