Three strangers are on the road to the same destination: San Julián, Argentina. The city represents diverse dreams for the travelers. Salesman Roberto wants to procure a birthday cake for the son of his widowed love interest. Don Justo, on a quest to find his dog, entrusts his grocery store to his children in his absence. María Flores sets out with her baby in the hopes of winning prizes during an appearance on a game show.
