After getting fired from his job for slacking off, hapless paper pusher Cooper is attacked by a gigantic insect. Upon awakening, he discovers that the city is under attack by an army of similarly massive bugs. Along with a small group of survivors -- including the nerdy Leechee and his boss's gorgeous daughter Sara -- Cooper struggles to find his father, Ethan, an eccentric Iraq War veteran with the know-how to face the infestation.
