Three middle-aged Frenchmen struggle with their love lives. Vincent has been unfaithful to his wife, Gabrielle, who in turn is considering an affair of her own with a man she meets at a record shop. Georges is frustrated with his domineering and argumentative wife, Nathalie, but finds himself unable to leave her. And Fred, a longtime bachelor, finds himself unexpectedly pursuing a monogamy.
