Petty crook Eddie Hall ducks into a random apartment to hide from police and ends up falling for its resident, bombshell Ruby Adams . Hall and his accomplice, Slim, convince Ruby to help them con a married man. But their plan goes horribly awry and Hall flees the scene. When he finds out from an ex-con that his antics have landed Ruby in jail -- and that she's pregnant with his child -- he may have to choose between his freedom and making things right.
