Tatsuo is a temperamental lumberjack with a wife, children and a mistress . He also does his best to teach his apprentice his cruel methods. His village, where he hunts local wildlife and regularly cuts down trees, is being considered as the site for a splashy water park that would turn the quiet fishing town into a major tourist attraction. Tatsuo is enraged at the park officials, but later has a dangerous change of heart.
