In this documentary, filmmaker Su Friedrich fuses together stock footage from vintage sex education movies, interviews with adult lesbian women and a fictional vignette about a young girl's erotic awakening. The women who appear in the movie relate stories about their earliest sexual experiences, while the dramatized portion of the film focuses on a middle-school student dealing with puberty and developing strong feelings for a close female friend.
