Toni LeBrun is beautiful jazz age singer who takes a job in a Paris cabaret, where she is propositioned by Henry von Glessing, a rich patron of the club. When she refuses his advances, she is fired and joins her wardrobe mistress, Rosa, in a fancy hotel in Monte Carlo -- where Rosa reveals herself as a down-on-her-luck baroness in disguise. Posing as the daughter of the baroness, Toni pursues romance, with unexpected consequences.
