An unexpected relationship forms between Naomi, a modern-day workaholic and mother living in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Negist, an Ethiopian maid hired by Naomi's husband. While Naomi is initially awkward around this stranger who does her laundry and other domestic tasks, when she discovers Negist is not only in the country illegally, but also has to room with a large number of other immigrants, she begins to look at the maid -- and herself -- differently.
