Three South Korean strangers -- a teen rape victim who abandoned her newborn baby, a middle-aged prostitute and a mute who is afflicted with cancer and used to be an opera singer -- meet via happenstance and begin a journey to a strange island where they will be cleansed of their psychological and physical traumas. Their road trip brings them to unexpected places and people, but the women bond in unforeseen ways as they near their mysterious destination.
