After countless weeks of seclusion in his laboratory, the brilliant Dr. Vaseegaran emerges with his latest invention: Chitti (also Rajnikanth), an android created in his own image. But in the place of applause, Vaseegaran is greeted by the scornful gaze of his neglected fiancée, Sana . With the faithful Chitti at his side, the desperate Vaseegaran struggles to regain Sana's favor. But soon the robot-servant starts developing feelings for his master's beautiful love.
